DiyMiniTuner.com dates back to 2003 when established as Ebay Store "DiyMiniTuner" which catered to the Do It Yourself Mini Tuner...i.e. RC enthusiasts who modified their Xmods and Mini-Z RC cars. We were a "kitchen table" business modifying PCB's with upgraded fets, tweaking motors, and building lithium ion battery mods....Now Mike Mizzi writes articles and still dabbles with RC online sales and creative RC Car projects.

Tamiya Hornet Re-Release powered by VB Power 4200mah 6 cell pack
We decided to keep this Hornet build stock. We installed Duratrax ball bearings throughout for a smooth driveline and used the included RS540 Mabuchi motor and ESC. Our VB Power 4200 mah 6 cell battery pack provides great runtime and control. This car is so fun! It reminds me back in 1984 the great fun I had with my first RC Car....the original Tamiya Hornet!
